I am honoured to serve as Patron of the inaugural PILP Pro Bono Recognition List.

To acknowledge the dedicated service of lawyers, law firms, and NGOs who have committed pro bono hours in support of access to justice. Your contributions ensure that those who would otherwise remain without representation are heard, supported, and defended.

Pro bono does not replace legal aid, but it stands alongside it — reinforcing the justice system, and demonstrating that the legal profession can lead with compassion and collective purpose.

I hope that this Recognition List inspires even greater participation, deepens our shared commitment, and helps build a lasting culture of pro bono service in Nigeria and across our region.
